Regulatory norms

RED DEMON products comply with all the regulatory norms of the European Union:

  • UNE - 56.402: 1992 and UNE – 56402: 1996 (identical to EN – 46: 1988 and EN – 46: 1988 / AC:1992) 46. Determination of preventive effectiveness against newly born Hylotrupes Bajulus larvae, together with aging by evaporation tests in accordance with EN – 73.
  • UNE – 56.411 EN – 118: 2007. Determination of preventive effectiveness against genus Reticulitermes termites. Tests for accelerated aging by evaporation in accordance with UNE -- 56406: 1992 (EN - 73: 1988). Tests for accelerated aging by leaching in accordance with UNE – EN – 84: 1997.
  • Complies with the “Wood Protection” methodology standards of the CIFOR (Centre for Forest Research) of the INIA (National Institute for Agricultural and Food Product Research and Technology). Determination of fungicidal effectiveness of products for temporary protection of green wood in sawmills.
  • UNE -- 56.402 EN -- 46 Spanish standard. Determination of preventive effectiveness against newly born Hylotrupes Bajulus (Linnaeus) larvae in accordance with the EN -- 46 --1: 2006 standard, together with tests of aging by evaporation in accordance with UNE -- 56406: 1992 (EN -- 73: 1988).
  • UNE- 56.411: 1992 (EN – 118: 1990). Determination of preventive effectiveness against genus Reticulitermes Santonensis Feytaud termites, together with the tests of aging by evaporation in accordance with EN – 73.
  • UNE – EN 118: 2007. Determination of preventive effectiveness against genus Reticulitermes termites, together with the tests of aging by leaching in accordance with UNE- EN 84: 1997.
  • EN – 113: 1996. Determination of preventive effectiveness against wood-destroying Basidiomycota fungi.
  • UNE -- EN 117: 2007. Determination of preventive effectiveness against Reticulitermes sp. (European termite).
  • EN – 46: 1988. Determination of preventive effectives against newly born Hylotrupes Bajulus (Linnaeus) larve, together with tests of aging by evaporation in accordance with EN – 73: 1988.

All the active ingredients contained in RED DEMON products are authorised by the European Union and included in Annex I, PT 8 wood preservatives, Group 2 - Preservatives, of the Regulatory Directives of the European Commission.

The tests are performed by CIDEMCO, the independent laboratory approved by the Spanish National Certification Body - ENAC
